Description:     My client based in Bury St Edmunds is a leading manufacturer of lighting components and systems. They are seeking to recruit a self motivated, skilled and experienced mechanical maintenance engineer to become a member of our maintenance department support team, to undertake planned maintenance, repairs, overhauls and improvements on a diverse range of automated manufacturing equipment and utility plant. The successful applicant will need to be time served with a related engineering qualification, and will ideally possess a broad range of maintenance skills, and a broad range of machining skills to tool room standards. Experience is also required, which covers the overhaul of intricate mechanisms, to the diagnosis of and correction of mechanical and pneumatic faults on complex production equipment. It will also be a requirement of this post to provide holiday and sickness cover for the shift maintenance engineers working a four shift pattern and to have a flexible working attitude to ensure the continuity of work on production equipment.
